With over twenty years of experience behind him, Giancarlo set up his artisan vegan patisserie, bakery and deli, Vegan Sweet Tooth, along with his partner to deliver plant-based, organic baked goods to the streets of London. He sources ingredients from local food markets and vegan suppliers, turning them into incredible cakes, pastries and savoury bakes topped with home grown edible flowers for a sprinkle of colour. Though without a physical shop, Sweet Tooth can be seen all around the capital at vegan markets where customers can try their selection of biscuits, cookies, muffins and other sweet treats, including a host of sugar-free, gluten-free, nut-free and soya-free options. The rest of the time, their food can be ordered for delivery from their kitchen in south London. They even offer a catering service where Giancarlo will personally craft a menu to suit the customer’s preferences.

- Dee CadleI really don’t like leaving bad reviews for vegan businesses but I can’t ignore how bad the cakes were. All the desserts looked amazing and were well presented, but that’s about it. The tiramisu was tasteless and the sponge layers were just thick and stodgy. The Black Forest cake had a slight flavour of cherry but the cake didn’t taste of much, was dry and crumbled. But not a good crumble, it was slightly grainy. I can’t remember exactly the flavours of the last cake but some were coconut and passion fruit. This one was slightly better and had some flavour but the cake itself was a bit stodgy and just soaked in something or just a very wet cake. It wasn’t a moist fluffy cake though, just wet and stodgy. The customer service was great though, the guy serving was really nice and the experience was pleasant. The stall was really well presented and the other items looked amazing.
- ShâoI was desperate for a vegan cake on the same day of my friend's birthday on 29th Feb but not hopeful that I would find someone who could make something bespoke with such short lead time. Giancarlo was super responsive and made an absolutely gorgeous cake that looked exactly like the photo on the website. It was so beautiful that the people at the party couldn't stop talking about it! I will definitely use Vegan Sweet Tooth again for cakes. I highly recommend for special occasions as they look absolutely spectacular and taste delicious.
- Claire CarterWe have just bought and greedily consumed a wonderful vegan tiramisu from Vegan Sweet tooth at the Taunton vegan fair. It was absolutely delicious and frankly loads better than any other I have eaten either before or since becoming vegan. Luckily one of my children lives not far from the pick up spot so we will definitely be ordering more to share with the family!
- Arianna Vidovic'These are the best vegan cakes ever! Incredibly flavoursome and with a gorgeous presentation. I have made an order for my baby shower and everyone asked were the cake were from and received compliments for the choice. I could not recommend this place more. On top of being the best product the service and communication was outstanding. Could not be happier to support this ethical business run by awesome people.
- Philippa RawlinsonGrabbed some pumpkin cannelloni with pesto from here for my dinner, along with the black forest cake. So delicious, the cannelloni was light and fragrant, not stodgy and the flavours worked so well together. Cake was fabulously moist with a great balance and the meringue melts in the mouth. Guy that served us was really lovely and patient as we chose what we wanted. Only regret is that I didn't buy more!
