- Ami DNice spot in the renewed elephant and castle. The food was nice but I have had nicer Ethiopian food. The atmosphere was nice but the service was very slow probably because the server was on her own, perhaps short staffed or it’s normally that way but it meant there was a lot of waiting. We spent about £54 for the platter and side of rice and salad. We ordered 3 soft drinks. I tried the sorrel tea which is a nice but bitter tea like an unsweetened sangria. Very impressed by the bathroom offerings of female sanitary products which is a rarity and nice touch and the bathroom was clean. I think it could be even better with more staff and faster service. There is no parking nearby there is only a waiting area allowing 20 minutes so we had to park behind in one of the residential streets.
- Laughing AnanasWe really enjoyed our visit to Beza, very refreshing food and flavours. I loved the variety of lentils and chutneys they had, it was very interesting. Their Affogato and Ethiopian coffee were also yummy, however the banana bread was very okay and nothing special. The only feedback I’d like to give though is that it would be nice if they had an A la carte menu as well for people who do not wish to eat so much, as the food in their Set menu really is quite heavy and difficult to get through, and they only offer Set menus. Another bizzare observation is that all three of us who visited and had this food at Beza experienced a very upset stomach the next two days. I’m not sure if this is due to the quality of ingredients used and whether they use tinned or fresh lentils. I hope they look into it because they can improve the experience by miles, and I really do like the concept and what they had to offer in general.
- RonSila HowesGreat food, very aromatic & unique! Friendly service & adequate portions. A bit pricey but worth it for the quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend for those that are keen on vegetarian options
- Paula ChanceThe food here was delicious with a very generous portion (we didn’t manage to finish it all, but we tried our best). The atmosphere was great too. A lovely spot to come for dinner and a catch up.
- Simon BryanIncredible food, so many flavours and the Injera is such a different flavour to anything I've tasted. Not having to choose your food makes it easy and there's something for everyone on the table.
