- Vinita JainThis is hole in the wall kind of small restaurant at Melrose. Since we are vegetarians, we were excited to see a plant based taco place. The food was good but the portions are a bit smaller than other usual specially the bowls. We tried traditional burritos, bowls, chips and guacamole. We also dared to go for a ghost taco but it was extremely hot. So I won’t recommend that. Overall we have eaten better tasting Mexican food at other places but going safe and vegan, this is a good option.
- Shruthi SheshadriAs a vegetarian, it's really hard to have too many vegetarian options. So a vegan taco place is just excellent for any vegetarian. We tried their spicy ghost taco, it was spicy and delicious. Also got their regular 3 tacos with assorted toppings - all tasted really good. I really liked their potato topping taco. We also got half order of nachos - the serving portion is huge, so half portion should easily be sufficient for 2.
- Kelly MulroyThe food here is amazing and very flavorful! I love the fish tacos with guacamole and burritos. The service is very friendly and inviting, I definitely will be back to try more items. They have a beautiful patio and play the fun music5 stars!
- NoorI wish I could give this more than 5 stars!! The staff was very friendly, the place was super clean and decorated well and the food was beyond amazing. I got the carne asada protein bowl and as someone who isn’t even fully plant based, it was legit a 12/10. Completely satisfied my Mexican food craving and tasted authentic, textures and flavors were great. Will definitely be back!
- ashley hobbsWas really excited to try this place, I had looked at the menu a while back but happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped by impromptu. The “meats” are listed on chalk on a board. I asked the woman at the counter if all the tacos had the same toppings, she responded “no” so I asked if there was a list of the tacos, she responded “no” again and then started rattling off a few toppings “like the Al pastor has pineapple”. Okay so how do I know what’s on each taco? I asked if she had a physical menu, “no” again. She appeared to have zero desire to be there, let alone help me out. I remembered I had seen the tacos on the menu prior, so I pulled it up on my phone, sure enough they were all on there. Why she didn’t mention that at the very least is beyond me. I felt like I had walked in and interrupted her afternoon… really awkward. Obviously, this is a two fold issue. The restaurant should have a QR code or the tacos listed physically somewhere within the restaurant. The poor customer service and attitude from the girl when I was just asking questions was super uncalled for and made me really uncomfortable. Ended up ordering an Al pastor and a carnitas taco with no onions. They came as two plain tacos with the same exact “meat” and a side of salsa. She probably could have also explained that they were the same, exact filling or made a suggestion as a substitute for the salsa, since I have an onion intolerance, but that would obviously have been far too much of a hassle for her. Hoping to return and try more items, but if this woman is working I will turn around and walk out. Unfortunately, the girl who greeted me when I walked in and brought me my food was really sweet so I hope this doesn’t affect business for her.
