- Sandra CortezCame to Philadelphia for a weekend get away from NYC and I'm going to miss this place! Had breakfast here two days in a row and the food was amazing! Loved the tofu scramble with sausage (and spicy mayo on the side) and the tater tots were perfection! The pancakes were also great. Kuddos to the chef! She was the only one I saw cooking in the back and the food came out quickly and was so well seasoned. Would come back to Philly just to have breakfast here again :)
- ChristinaVery helpful staff willing to explain how they make the food and what’s in it. They’re making this food from scratch so everything came out amazing. The omelette blew my mind because I had essentially given up on a decent vegan breakfast outside of waffles and tofu scramble. The tempeh bacon was seasoned perfectly. There’s something for everyone here.
- Meredith PatrickI had high expectations for The Tasty, as it was rated the #1 place for plant-based finds in Philly by VegNews. The blueberry pancakes lived up to the diner's name and were the highlight of my meal. While the chicken cheesesteak was decent, I was disappointed with the Caesar salad; the dressing was too watery. If I go again, I'll try more from the breakfast menu.
- JulianaThe food is really good and lives up to the name The Tasty. The limited hours and the long waits on the weekend are a real pain, so I recommend you arrive before 11:30 to avoid standing outside in the cold for 30+ min. It was worth it though. The donuts were outstanding. The breakfast burrito was amazing. The chicken cheesesteak was so-so, skip it. The tots and chicken nuggets were really yummy and crispy. I would return here and be sure to arrive bright and early. They do have indoor dining but the entrance is not wheelchair accessible (disappointing). Very LGBTQ friendly.
- Nils HünerfürstDefinitely a great place for the vegan community! Hearty and delicious but weird opening hours and small dine in area.
