- Leandra CateThe food was fantastic! Service was friendly and food was served super fast. I had the bbq ribs with collard greens & jollof rice and the ribs were absolutely spectacular. My daughter had the Sunday brunch with pancakes, sausage, potatoes. 5 stars on all the food. Prices were a bit higher than anticipated, especially for a place that doesn’t have any comfortable dine-in seating. Our total price as over &40 for lunch for 2 people. Still, food is exceptional
- Mara KolayaComing from NC this place hit the spot. Perfectly made sweet tea and greens had me closing my eyes and just savoring. They were busy (which makes sense as the food was amazing). We ended up having a great conversation with the people about being from the south and the good they do for the community. It was just a really lovely time
- Luwana StaleyI wanted to love it. I'm visiting Baltimore, and a friend referred me. He told me that everyone loved the "crab"cakes. Well, I'm fasting, and I only eat between 4p-6p, so I have been waiting for this food all day. 90's reggae playing, loved that because I'm a NYer and we love aomw 90's reggae music. My wait time wasn't long at all. I sat down and opened my food, huge portions but when I tasted it, I was very disappointed. I ordered Mac and cheez, greens, and yams with the must-have "crab"cakes. The raving "crab"cakes were mushy inside and tasted like salt and Mustard, the greens were warm, at best, the Mac n cheese was mushy and tasted like a bowl of nutritional yeast, and the yams were not yamming. I ate some because, again, I only eat between 4p-6p. and did not have time to find good food. I trashed the food before exiting. I got a headache about 10-15 minutes into eating. When in Baltimore, I will not be returning. I was not impressed. Staff was pleasant, though. Again, I really wanted to love it... just no.
- Kasey HustonI was picking up food for somebody else when they ran out of the mac n cheez they had ordered, and I was suggesting the pretty potato salad I saw when the ever smiling Suzie agreed, then offered me a sample of their BBQ 'ribs' while I waited. Scrumptious. Full of flavor, saucy and with a meaty texture, my omnivore self left with a platter full of veggie packed riblets, jollof rice and the potato salad to go. Even after a lengthy drive home, my food was so delicious. I'm looking forward to trying the curry! Thanks!
- Andrea StrubleHow could we have never tried Land of Kush before? Our first visit, definitely not our last. We ordered vegan crab cakes (so delicious!), jollof rice (perfectly seasoned—and bonus—made with brown rice), collard greens (amazing), chickpea burger (thick and savory) and the cucumber and tomato salad (refreshing with a great light dressing). Portions are generous, prices very reasonable, service was great and very friendly, and we loved the low-key, authentic-feeling atmosphere. Also appreciated that there seemed to be very little oil used in the preparation of our food (none in the greens)—it was delicious and healthy! Can’t wait to go back.
