Originally launched in the Costa de Caparica, Slow Sourdough & Co harnesses natural fermentation processes to produce hearty, nutritious breads such as seeded, carob, wheat and rye. They also offer delicious pastries and irresistible savoury snacks alongside fermented vegan goods including cheeses, kimchis and natural wines. In summer 2025, they opened a small bakery and café in Lisbon as part of a collaboration with specialty coffee makers Ele Ela, whose beverages are made using beans roasted to perfection in Denmark for a rich, distinctive flavour and aroma. Meanwhile, the plant-based artisanal treats are freshly baked onsite using top-quality ingredients like stone-milled flour to optimise taste, texture and nutritional value. Everything is served by friendly, knowledgeable staff who show a true dedication to the art of fermentation.
