- Shannon SimsI've been to nourish twice and both times I've loved the food. This past visit I got the fried "chicken" platter and my boyfriend got two different patties. The mushrooms that mimic fried chicken tasted amazing and literally looked like fried chicken. The kale and mac&cheese were also equally tasty. My boyfriend loved his patties and was tempted to get a third 😂 definitely recommend for anyone that's vegan or just wants to try some great plant alternatives
- Steven BoehmWas super excited to try Nourish. Been a vegetarian for almost my whole life and mostly eat vegan. The food looked amazing, it honestly tasted pretty good. I liked the seasoning but texturally it was really off putting for me. The wings had a slight outer crunch but were really chewy inside. I tasted a couple of the bbq and a couple buffalo and they just rubbed me the wrong way. Couldn’t do it. The fried chicken sandwich had nice flavor but again it was the texture that got me. The mushrooms started getting two chewy and ended up having to spit it out and it just grossed me out. The vegan Mac was pretty solid. I think if you are cool with a chewier textures you would probably like it, just unfortunately didn’t agree with me.
- SoulPurl 77I'm not a vegan at all, and this food was 10x's better than most "regular" restaurants can make. The chicken cheesesteak, which was mushrooms on a wheat roll, really surprised me that it was vegan. The fried chicken tasted as good as a Sunday church basement platter. Seriously good grub. Made me wanna try cooking vegan, lol. The service was positive, patient, & polite. They made us so comfortable it was like we'd been going there for years. The atmosphere was perfect for an afternoon lunch. The music was laid back and felt like something I would have playing at my own house while cooking. Great light, happy green plants, & local art decorate the seating area. In the front room, there was a to-go food section and a product wall with erything from body oils to incense, but all of the good stuff, no cheap artificial junk. I will definitely be coming back and think I just found my favorite spot up on Girard. Most of the spots on Frankford are good, but a bit over-priced and not as much love put into the cooking. Oh yeh, I almost forgot the juice!!! I had a "The Cure" and seriously need to know how to make this at home. I would go there just for the juice & smoothies too. Jah blessed this spot, and I'm grateful that it's there.
- JessicaRose ChiaiaWe were so excited to try this place! The food had great flavor and texture but we brought our 3 year old and unfortunately the flavor had a slight kick so she refused to eat any of the dishes we ordered. We thought the vegan mac was a safe bet but it had a slight kick. We didn't mind finishing it though as we thought it was delicious! We also loved the Philly cheesesteak and the meatball parm sub, the banana Blueberry smoothie was yummy too! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. So happy we stopped here while we were in the area!
- Eliezer IrizarryIt was my Birthday and I happened to be out of state. I googled the nearest vegan restaurant to my location and Nourish seemed to be a mere 5 minute drive away. Seemed like the perfect place to celebrate. Unfortunately the family function ran longer than we expected. So instead of visiting I had my order delivered. The food did not disappoint. Their cheesesteak, that philly jawn, was a god-tier sandwich. Definitely a must have. However I went for the Chik'un platter first. The texture and flavors on the chik'un were amazing. The mac&cheese was good. The kale... it wasn't bad per se. I expected it to be cooked until wilted down. This was more of like a springy fresh kale. It wasot bitter or tough which is good, but as a personal preference i prefer my kale wilted. Overall the food was amazing. My "slice" of carrot cake was huge. I got to share it with 2 others so that is a blessing. I definitely plan to visit and sit down at the location next time I'm in Philly.
