Herman Ottosson founded his plant-based restaurant in Stockholm back in 1992. After over a decade of success, he passed it on to Leo and Omer; a passionate couple dedicated to promoting healthy eating for a better planet. Today, they continue his legacy on Fjällgatan, which is also known as “Stockholm’s balcony” for its stunning views. The Hermans slogan, “Give peas a chance”, reflects their mission of making good-quality food accessible to all, while the restaurant offers a diverse buffet of globally inspired dishes, from hearty vegetable stews to the famous Hermans lasagna. Lighter options include fresh salads served with homemade bread, herb butter and their popular hummus, best enjoyed with a cup of organic coffee or tea while taking in the beautiful Stockholm skyline.

- Elizabeth ZhuFantastic all you can eat vegan buffet! 📅 Timing: I had a reservation at 11am on a Thursday. There were a few people waiting outside the restaurant but otherwise I didn't need to make a reservation. There were plenty of seats until a lot of people started to show up around 12pm. They write your name down on a cute little chalkboard on the table if you do book though, which is a nice touch. 🥘 Food: I tried a little bit of everything and there wasn't a single thing I didn't like! It was all super tasty. There was a mix of flavours from Indian, to Mediterranean, to Korean, as well as hot food and cold food. The food felt light and healthy, never heavy or greasy. Unlimited coffee and tea is included in the price. 🖼️ Vibe: Incredible view! The dining room overlooks the water and you can watch the rides at Tivoli. The staff seemed friendly and chill. The decor was homey and kind of "hippie". And the music was nice and fit the vibe of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend Hermans!
- L UI enjoyed it very much and I’m not even vegan. The system is very easy to understand. The food display is very impressive. I like the colour profile and variety. My only complaint is there are so many things that I can’t enjoy everything in a single visit unless you stuff you strategically cut down the portion size for everything or stuff yourself (which fails the “enjoyment” part). I might come back during my visit… (It took me a while to figure out, but you take the stairs to the lower level to find this place.)
- Erin MaloneyFantastic meal and evening at THE vegan buffet in Stockholm. A real smörgåsbörd! Everything we tried was excellent. The grilled veggies especially lovely. Gorgeous views of the twilight city from the terrace!
- Claudia de la PeñaThis is one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve tried in my life. I literally dream of coming back to Stockholm and eat here again. I reaally reaaally recommend it!! The staff is also very nice and the views from the terrace are incredible.
