  Nestled in the heart of Gracia, I stumbled upon a hidden gem—a charming café serving delectable homemade vegan doughnuts and exceptional coffee. The doughnuts come in two sizes, with the generous large option costing just an extra euro. Their flavor is so irresistible, you'd never guess they're vegan! The coffee is equally impressive, and the café con leche (vegan) is served in a traditional Barcelona glass. They offer a variety of plant-based milk options, including soy, oat, and almond. The friendly and helpful barista was more than happy to assist me in making the perfect choice. This delightful café will undoubtedly become a regular stop for me when I'm in the area

  BEST VEGAN DOUGHNUTS!!! The flavors are inventive and executed well. They’re so fluffy and tasty. I highly recommend the pistachio doughnut filled with pistachio cream, the Catalan cream w/ brûlée top, and the chocolate frosted w/ sea salt. They have coffee + good kombucha which you can enjoy inside the cute seating area or the bench outside.

  I've recently travelled to NYC. And I already miss The Big Apple so much! 😥 I miss the city in general and I miss the food too. So the other day, when I had the opportunity to get some doughnuts from Areca Bakery through Too Good To Go, I thought it was a great way to transport me back there... For those of you who don't know what To Good to Go is, it's an app where businesses sell products they wouldn't normally sell because it's too late, or because they have some imperfections (for instance, it's hard to sell 1 banana alone, everybody wants a hand), at a lower price. I mainly use this app to buy fruits, as I eat a lot of fruits (that basically is the only thing I eat for lunch on a daily basis). #WasteWarrior That time, exceptionally, I bought doughnuts. When I arrived, ontime (because you get a time slot to pick up your products), the door of the bakery was wide open so I went in and walked to the counter. The clerk came a few seconds later and told me to go back outside and wait because she had "closed" already... Then she brought me the doughnuts. That was rough. Maybe she had cleant the floor, but that was totally useless because I walked without the doughnuts as much as I would have with them... 🤷 And it's not that she needed to prepare the pack. She just picked one and delivered it at the door (so she had to walk there too!). As you can imagine, I didn' feel very happy... 😤 As for the doughnuts I got, they were vegan because, apparently, Areca Bakery only sells vegan products. I don't mind. I don't care. I just want good stuff. These ones were ok but they were not doughnuts at all. They had the shape of a doughnut, but they didn't have its taste nor its texture. Again, that's fine by me because I'm glad I could try something different... But I prefer regular doughnuts and I don't think I'll repeat.   They sell vegan cinnamon buns, that taste incredible… what more can I say.
