- Phil AThis restaurant totally hit the spot for lunch today. The vibe was warm and inviting, and the lemongrass soup was a total game-changer. The broth was so flavorful and refreshing, with hints of ginger and spice that really kicked things up a notch.
- Emilio KamishlianI haven’t left a review in years but after eating at Zhu Vegan I had to. I saw the fried ice cream and had to come but this place but everything we ordered far exceeded our expectations. The orange seitan, mango soy protein, scallion pancakes, and soy nuggets were all fantastic. Everything was fresh and perfectly fried. Honestly can’t wait to come back to try more things, and it’s not pricey either. My fiancé and I both got appetizers, entrees, drinks, and deserts. Their ice cream is probably the best vegan ice cream we’ve ever had. For context my fiancé has been vegan 9 years and I’ve been off and on the past few years.
- ambassador coshGood serving and portions. I'm not a vegan person, just friends invited to check the place. Overall not so bad but not sure whether I want to go there for more experience.
- Jack RossAmazing food, I got a soy milk tea with passion fruit, scallion pancake, and Malaysian curry stew. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Being vegan does not feel like a drawback at all. I highly recommend if you are in Arlington!
- Cynthia MassonVegan eats review: Miso soup: delicious Hot and sour soup: spicy with fresh bits of soft tofu Pad Thai: slightly over cooked from delivery Chocolate cake: devoured Pineapple rice: the highlight of our meal and it comes with avocado! Tofu delight: a tad flavorless but satisfying with healthy portions of veggies and tofu. Overall so glad to have tried Zhu and love they have a spot in Brookline too! If you like sweet rice, check out the pineapple fried rice. Even non-vegans loved the dishes and didn’t complain we were eating food without meat.
