- Chloe RachelI really wanted to love this place, but it fell a bit short. I came here to use my Plant Curious coupons, so ordered 2 vegan crepes (mango cream cheese and blueberry cream cheese), a gluten free classic pulled chick'un burger, and 3 chick'un tenders. There was only 1 lady working; she took the orders up front and prepared the food in the open kitchen space right behind the counter. We waited around 15 minutes for our order. When we went to pick up our food, one thing we did notice was that the staff member wasn't wearing gloves when handling the food, so we only trust that they were properly sanitizing in-between working up front and in the kitchen. She was friendly. The chick'un tenders were the best part of the order. They had a crispy exterior and retained a meaty texture despite being vegan. The spices in the batter gave them a small kick of flavour. The crepes were disappointing, but because we got them at 2-for-1, it was fair for that price. We weren't sure if there was supposed to be more filling ("cream cheese") in-between the crepe folds, but it was primarily the fruit sauce on top that gave it flavour. The blueberry may have had a small amount of blueberry sauce inside, but there was no "cream cheese" to be found that we could see/taste. We were left wondering if it was mixed into the sauce. At a regular $10 each, we'd pass on this as it was otherwise a plain crepe with some sauce on top. The burger was decent and the vegan mayo and cheese options were appreciated. I only got the classic, so it was quite plain, but the chick'un had a soy-forward flavour that was passable as a meat substitute. The gluten free bun was one of the better buns I've had (fluffy and not flat). The shop also sells different desserts (I'd assume made in house based on the packaging), and treats from other vendors and plant-based brands. Not everything is vegan, so I'd advise you to check the labels/menu and ask staff if you're unsure. If I was in the area, I'd recommend stopping by for the chick'un tenders or a treat as they're open late, but not for the crepes.
- Selena L3.5 stars Legit the chicken burger was really good! I tried the butter chicken poutine and it was way way way way too salty. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or if the fries already had salt as well, but it was just too salty to taste good. The chicken tenders were really crispy. I liked how they put some Rice Krispies to make it even crispier. One star is removed because there is no washroom here. How are people going to wash their hands? And since it has a place to sit down, people might need to use the washroom, especially if they need to drink stuff. I would definitely try here though if you are vegan, vegetarian or if you just want to try some vegan chicken. The chickun burger was really my favorite.
- Kristian Flores Mateo Tabaday DomingoThis place is an underdog of Fraiser one review says, they was right. Looking around the place, everything was prepped at house. Not to mention the variety they all made for everyone to enjoy. The service was quite enjoyable, even though there is one person doing the cooking and orders, she answered in a friendly yet respectful manner as i respect her back. She listened to my need/cater of having the food on a to-go container just in case I my small stomach cannot handle it. They convey multitudes of products, most mainstream, but also stocks of housemade local drinks and ice cream brewed right here in BC. The vegan chicken tenders may taste a bit like fish fingers; but the seasoning and texture of the breading and marinade made it more decadant, not to mendtion nutririous, all in a cheap affordable price. The burgers is also cheaper than any of the burger blocks I went to. 10 dollars for one is kind of a reasonal price in my opinion, and knowing it's all made at the house made them more generous than anything I can ever afford. Of course the actual patty of what I ordered may be a bit small, but the housemade buns do bring it up to a notch for me as well as the sauces. Overall, it is a cute underatted little joint serving multitudes of snacks, drinks, and meals is deserving of your time and money. I do genuinely hope there will be more customers coming in
- Akkul SoodGreat spot to eat and grab food. The entire restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly. They even have some gluten free options. I tried the burger and the wrap. Both of which were delicious. Fairly priced. Must recommended.
- Ht LJust want to give a huge shout out to Grant. Amazing customer service. Grant was very warm and welcoming. It was my first time here, and Grant gave me a couple recommendations. Every single recommendation was outstanding. I think this is a mom and pop shop? I'm not sure, but there was a lovely lady and sir in the back making the food, and they were also so warm and friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! - Johnny
