- Chris HigginsFirst time I ordered, my meal was perfect! Second time, food was extremely bland. Both times I ordered the exact same meal (curry chicken plate). I figured 3rd times the charm so I ordered 2 Jamaican me crazy plates. Needless to say by the one star review I was not charmed at all. The yams were burnt. The collards were bland and honestly I can tell both the yams and greens came out of a can. The “jerk chicken” was entirely too spicy and potato salad was extremely bland. Only thing I was able to enjoy was the Mac and cheese. Everything else was prepared poorly. Any time I ordered I spent close to $100. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of food and the audacity the food prep had to even serve someone burned food. Smh
- Erica JacksonUnfortunately I have to make this review. This is my fourth time coming to this establishment and I get the exact same thing every time ‘Jamaican me crazy’ and unfortunately this time my food was HORRIBLY MADE. The presentation was enough for me to want to throw up. The jerk sauce was extremely watery and soupy. I still attempted to atleast try the sides, I tried the collard greens and they were bland NO SEASONING at all. I’m not sure what cook was in the kitchen this time but this is bad business to even provide a paying customer this type of prepared meal. It’s rude and distasteful to represent a company that way. I’ve never had any issues with my food so this was extremely disappointing!!! Unfortunately I won’t be back. Lost a loyal paying customer! Do better!!
- Aubrey Jungthis is one of the best places i’ve ever received food from. i was a bit unsure initially because i thought the pick up building was a little odd but it was 1000% worth it! the pickup location is a black warehouse, and when you order they’ll send you a link to unlock a locker inside of the warehouse when your food is ready. there are numbered lockers on the inside wall, and all i had to do was click the link to unlock the locker and grab my food. i tried the good for the soul plate (yams, collard greens, mac, and fried chick’n) and i was happy to see the large portion! there was plenty of mac and cheese, and it was the best mac i’ve had as of posting. the yams were also exceptional. i’d recommend this plate because of the sampling variety. i was also interested in the wings, so i tried half bbq and half lemon pepper. the texture of the “chicken” was impressively realistic, and although the bbq was my favorite because of the sauce, i enjoyed the lemon pepper as well. the last thing i tried was the lobster melt. the fries that came with it were well seasoned, and the lobster melt itself held a lot of flavor. i didn’t find the cheese to be sticky or glue-y, and thought the lobster was pretty accurate. definitely a good order. overall i’d definitely recommend because i could probably eat here every day! all the food was very well seasoned and packed a punch. the portion sizes are huge, the mac and cheese is a must-try 🙌
- Ethel RichardsOrdered veggie spring roll and lobster melt, both came with fries. The veggie spring roll was spot on very flavorful, likely due to the sweet potato. The lobster melt was not my favorite, but a good flavorful profile overall. The issue: stale French fries and/or very old oil. The fries smelled of old oil and even tasted like it. My stomach turned and I was not able to eat further. Recommendation: change frying oil often & be sure fresh fries are used. Otherwise good food.
- angie barteeI honestly don’t get the great reviews this place has received. After spending over $70 for 3 adult meals and one kids meal I expected better. I ordered the oxtail meal. The collard greens are not seasoned or maybe with just salt and pepper. The oxtails “sauce” was so spicey I couldn’t even chew it. It was unnecessary. I’ve had vegan corn bread before and this was not it! I ended up having to cook anyway (which is what I was avoiding doing since we were out a bit later than expected). Can’t say I’d go back.
