- sunny shandilyaPS Kitchen is a small blink-and-miss restaurant near the world-famous Times Square Garden. While we were exhausted walking around craving a vegetarian meal, we stumbled upon this place, and here is the summary of our review: My actual rating is 3.5 but because they made us wait so long, it was an unpleasant experience. 1) Ambiance 4/5: The place is small but given the location, they have done well to maintain the ambiance of this place 2) Service 2/5: This is by far my biggest sore here. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for a burger and burrito on the pretext of it being about to be closed and they didn't even give us the extra sauce which we asked and they even mentioned in their bill. This was disappointing as they could have stopped entertaining guests if it was too late. 3) Food 5/5: Here is the summary of the food we had. The food was really tasty and filling. a) Beyond burrito: Great if you are looking for a filling single meal. It has great taste. b) PS burger: Again a juicy and great vegan burger with beyond patty and cheese 4) Value for Money 4/5: Not the cheapest place as simple burritos and burgers and about $18 but given its location, it would not be cheap. Overall, great tasting vegan food but not the best service experience and if you are looking for something cheap, try one of the local shops around. When I am back in NYC, I will definitely give it another try in hopes of changing my views about it
- Michael TillmanWe went to an afternoon matinee and searched for a healthy restaurant. This restaurant has very healthy food, which does not taste like people think of vegan food. At the table next to us, they were raving about the ribs appetizer. Reservations are recommended, and since we did not have any, they seated us, stipulating they needed the table back in an hour. We agreed and started with an IPA beer and two entries. The inside was nicely decorated, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious. This will now be our go-to eatery for the Theater District. They have outdoor seating as well.
- LFGiving this 5 stars as it's a vegan restaurant and profits go to charity. Our server was amazing! So friendly and helpful and our 12 year old loved him. Lovely place. Nice lighting and atmosphere. Loved the warm cider! (Non Alcoholic) my partner and son said they had the best burgers ever here. I don't like meat substitutes and struggled to get anything decent to eat so opted for a salad and truffle fries. Not great but OK. Would have been great to have something like a pasta or veggie style burger.
- Tiffany RuppWe aren't vegan but we're allergic to cow's milk. It is nice to not have to worry about it when coming to places like this. The food was solid. The Alfredo was fantastic. The Colombia potato soup was good but way too much cilantro for my taste. The cheesecake was too small for the price. The taste was decent but nothing I'd come back for. Small space but cozy.
- Vyara DobrotinaOne of my family's favorite vegan restaurants in the city! We get take out and dine-in often. Food is always fantastic, service is impeccable, the ambiance is lovely and warm. Highly recommended!
