- Mahfuzur RahmanThis place serves awesome vegan food. All of their items are vegan. We had the Vegetable combo plate and Hot Butter Prawns. The prawns are so delicious that we could not understand it was vegan. The preparation was great. The foods were bursting with flavors. It was not very spicy (You can add spice if you want) but we can feel lots of intense tastes and flavors. The Vegetable combo had a variety of vegetable curries. It was not spicy. Different curries and dal tasted mildly different and great. Both the items gave me a great experience of Asian food. We tried the Cardamom pudding and pineapple cake for desert and both of them were great. I would definitely recommend everyone to try their food. People will definitely get a different experience.
- Chenara JohnsonFantastic shareable plate with a wide assortment of options. There's a mix of hot and cold with unique, savory flavors all within the same plate. There's indoor and outdoor seating, The staff were kind. The silverware looked mass batch washed. No cut lemons for the complimentary water. All in all, though It was very good. Would recommend.
- Deedee ChiangFirst time having Sri Lankan food and it is delicious (and also spicy). Love their generous portions, even for their appetizers. The food vaguely reminds me of Indian, but with slightly more mild and coconut flavor. Their banana flower empanadas are amazing, and will be back to try there potato and pumpkin croquettes. Meanwhile, we got a roti combination platter and all the side that comes with added so much flavor. We were so full by the end of the meal! We will definitely be back!
- Mariel JonesI’ve been wanting to try Mirisata for years and finally got my chance this week! We had the daily special and the meatball stuff roti, and it was all so delicious. The employee we spoke with at the counter was very friendly and helpful, and his suggestions were all so good. I’ll be back!
- Chintan PanchamiaTLDR; Simple outdoor cantina atmosphere, large seating areas, excellent flavorful food that is generous in its use of spices and in bringing the heat. ------------------------- We were a group of 10+ people (the Seattle Vegans Meetup group/community). We were visiting town for the Vegan Halloween Night Market, and looking for a vegan restaurant to get dinner. It was a weekend, and reservations at various restaurants were running thin. We found Mirisata as one of the top-rated vegan restaurants in the region, that was easily accessible from the downtown area. The staff at the establishment was generously communicative and they also found us a table large enough to seat us all together. The food was perfectly portioned with little to no opportunity for wastage. It was served quickly, and was piping hot to complement the chilly (40F) weather outside. Sri Lankan food is culturally similar to Tamilian & Keralite food from those respective southern-most states of India. The food was simple, spicy and rich with familiar Indo-Sri-Lankan flavors, adequate to transport those of us familiar with the cuisine immediately back home. Those of us who weren't familiar the cuisine also had an equally great time, if not better due to the differences in the flavor profile, compared to other common Southeast Asian restaurants.
