The location is beautiful and very well placed. You can grab your food parcel and have it right by the water. Plus the staff is very friendly, warm and co-operative. The burgers are different and newish. I would recommend The Nashville Chicken Sandwich. This is not meat, so expecting it to be like meat is a flaw in the craving and not the offering. Go with a fresh mindset & you will not be disappointed. The waffle fries are a nice accompaniment. At the end of the day choosing vegan is about ending your meat craving it's not about finding an alternative to it...

šŸ¦‹ Located between Queens Quay and the lake, this plant-based burger joint has such a beautiful outdoor setting. We chose to sit outside on the bench tables and boy, were we super happy we did. Right in front of us was a little water park filled with green trees that turns into an ice rink in the winter. The sound of the water spouts shooting water up and then hitting the ground was tranquil and given its location, could easily hear it with the quiet surroundings. As soon as we stepped foot into Maverickā€™s, we immediately felt a burst of high vibration. Our smiles naturally turned on and we were so excited to be there. We were greeted by Daryl, who had a full-on conversation with us. We learned that Daryl has a passion for plant-based food and before we even talked to him we could feel the love he had for this place - given the high vibration. Daryl was super helpful in explaining the different menu options and even suggested a few items. We are soooooooooo glad that we had the Nashville Heat Sliders, Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Crazy Canuck Loaded Fries šŸ¤¤! We were blown away by how amazingly delicious all 3 of these choices were. For the sandwiches, the Nashville sauce is so friggin delicious and good. Itā€™s actually got heat and the spice is amazing - especially since itā€™s called a Nashville sandwich. The coleslaw on both sandwiches was really really good. We donā€™t like coleslaws that is vinegary and being at a plant-based restaurant one might think vinegary is more likely. Nope! It was creamy enough for us to not think ā€œvinegarā€ at all. It even had horseradish in it giving it a little kick. The bbq sauce on the fries was really good. Sometimes bbq sauces are sweet and we donā€™t prefer that and this bbq sauce is definitely not sweet. Itā€™s got a kick to it which goes super well with the waffle fries (a great change up compared to regular fries). There are bacon bits on it (vegan) and we had no idea they werenā€™t ā€œrealā€ bacon bits - although these bacon bits were more ā€œrealā€ than ā€œrealā€ onesā€¦ do you know what we mean? The cool thing is they had beer options there which wouldā€™ve been absolutely perfect to have outside with the water park, trees, and lake but we chose no beer since we are alcohol-free for 21 daysĀ šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž. When we were finished, we kept saying to each other how amazing the food was and how satisfied we were - the food definitely hit the spot! The best part about eating plant-based food is how we never feel overly full and left feeling comfortable and fulfilled. We absolutely love Maverickā€™sĀ šŸ¤¤! We are 100000000000% going back and they even have it on delivery apps making the deliciousness come right to the comfort of your own home. Thank you sooooo much Daryl for blessing us with your passion and having a burger joint that is fresh, light, tasty and oh, did we mention TASTY and DELICIOUSĀ šŸ¤¤!?!? This is our experience. Whatā€™s yours? šŸ¦‹

Best new burger shop in the city - and the highlight? It's all plant based. The interior is clean, fresh, and the sustainable products from design, dishware, to packaging, truly showcase the ethos of this place. We ordered the 6ix Burger (bbq sauce, onion rings, mayo and cheese) and the Bacon Cheese Burger, with a side of (perfectly crisp, and not to be missed) Pickle Dilly and Dragon Fries. What sets this place apart are the sauces - they truly elevate the burgers and fries, while bringing out the best combination of flavours. My meat-eating, plant-based skeptic husband raved about his burger all night. The sauce on the Dragon Fries has me excited to come back soon to try the Dragon Burger. The Pickle Dilly fries were topped with the perfect amount of pickles and garlic mayo. My only regret is that we also didn't get a side of slaw as both options looked amazing. The location gives us the perfect excuse to visit Sugar Beach in the summer, or take advantage of the Sherbourne Commons skating rink (located right outside their doors!) in the winter before stopping in for a burger! Kudos to the team at Mavericks for this opening!

Grabbed the Nashville sliders for lunch during work and it was better than I expected them to be. Will surely so back to try more stuff. Very happy with the quality and price.

Great vegan burger spot with some classic and fusion flavours! We tried the Mav and the dragon and both were stellar. The fries have a super tasty seasoning on them. A must try whether youā€™re plant based or not.
