La Oveja Negra was founded in 2012 with the mission to revolutionise vegan food by turning it from a niche product into an accessible option for everyone. They serve globally inspired dishes like meatballs, empanadas and burgers, with alternatives that cater to various food intolerances, alongside a delicious daily menu featuring a starter, bread, main, dessert and drink at an affordable price. A small selection of sweet treats includes the inventive Cheesfake, made with cashew nuts and homemade jam, and the drinks menu lists flavoured coffees, teas and infusions alongside refreshing beers and organic wines. Each dish incorporates natural plant-based ingredients to ensure that the food respects the wellbeing of the planet while also providing customers with nutritious, sustainable meals that don’t compromise on taste.

- Clara SongGreat vegan food! We got the queer burger and the paella menu of the day. The cheesecake is delicious too! Staff was friendly and overall atmosphere was super nice! Definitely recommend it for vegan food in Madrid!
- CJGreat food, all vegan. Service was great. The order was out in 10 minutes. Good vibes. I think it's a bit pricey.
- Jessie ShepherdSo glad I was finally able to check out this place! I asked for recommendations and ended up getting the Queer Burger which was very good. They also have cute gifts such as stickers, mugs and keychains. Love supporting a vegan and LGBTQ friendly business! You should check them out too!
- Gottfried KibelkaThe place looks and feels a bit like a collective with a rustic touch and staff that confidently expresses their individuality. The food was good but heavy on "fake" meat. Even after being a vegetarian for 36 years, I sampled some surrogate meat for the first time at this restaurant. The stew I had was deconstructed with vegan meats and vegetables nicely presented on a plate while the broth came in a deep bowl with noodles. The broth was excellent and the garbanzos right down my alley.
- Ambrish AA hidden gem of the many wonderful experiences Madrid has to offer. Staff is very helpful, has a happy smile on their face and a very welcoming persona. Food is FLAVORFUL. A must try for the carnivores who wonder what do the vegans eat! Prices are fair and food is wholesome. Place is lively even at 1145pm on a Thursday.
