- WeldedmangoWhere to even begin with Jola? This is such a special, special restaurant. The space is intimate, Jonathan and Larissa were the most gracious hosts, and the food, oh my the food! Everything we tried was excellent and presented beautifully, while some of the dishes were exceptional because of their complexity (Cauliflower with Yuzu and Roscoff Onion were particular standouts). This was all the more impressive given that everything here relies on the chef’s ingenious treatment of vegetables - and little else! These people are masters of their craft. Vegan or not, I implore you to go!
- Noah BehmAbsolutely loved it! Probably the best food I've ever had so far. Great atmosphere and staff as well. Brunch is on the first Sunday of the month btw
- Julia SuntingerThis evening was more than perfect! From the start on we were greeting so nicely and felt so comfortable. And when the food started, we were fascinated from the first moment. Everything tasted so incredibly good. The presentation was also on point. The owners Larissa and Jonathan themselves served us the whole evening and they made us feel so welcome. We had the alcoholfree drink pairing and the drinks we got were well thought through and very good. This was without question the best vegan food we ever had. Thank you for this amazing evening, can't wait for the next time!
- debbie mayoThis is an amazing vegan restaurant that even non vegans will thoroughly enjoy. The hostess, Larissa, who is also a co-owner, is charming and patient and chef, Jonathan, her partner is a creative genius. Every mouthful we ate was unbelievable and we did not want the meal to end! It was such a wonderful experience, worth every penny we spent! The restaurant only serves dinner on Wednesday , Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (as of writing this review) and it only has space for about 18 diners, so if you’re lucky enough to be in Vienna on one of those evenings, make sure to reserve in advance so that you won’t miss out on a culinary experience of a lifetime!
- Alexis ElderI have never meant a 5 star review more than this one. Eating at JOLA was hands down one of the best food experiences of my life. The restaurant was cosy and intimate and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The food was expertly prepared with fresh, local ingredients. I have been vegetarian for a long time and have never tasted vegetables so delicious. Each course was different from the rest and each wildly flavorful. The creativity, thoughtfulness, and presentation of each dish was incredible. We chose to do the meal paired with alcohol, and it was well worth it. Each drink was carefully crafted and delicious, no two were the same! 10 courses seemed like a lot, but it ended up being perfect. We left satisfied, but not overly stuffed. As I said, I have never had such a 5 star experience in my life. JOLA was the highlight of my trip to Austria, and will leave me trying to recreate their incredible dishes for a long time. We want to thank Larissa and the team for an amazing experience!
