- Valerie TrevinoIngrained is an absolute gem in the Chicago snack scene! From the moment I tried their handmade, plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free snacks, I was hooked. The care and dedication that go into each product are truly evident in every delicious bite. What sets Ingrained apart is their unwavering commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. As a consumer, it's incredibly refreshing to know exactly where my food comes from and to support a company that prioritizes transparency and sustainability. Not only are their snacks incredibly tasty, but the ethos of the company resonates deeply with me. Ingrained's dedication to promoting local and small-batch producers is admirable, and their passion for creating honest, sustainable products is truly commendable. The staff were absolute gems as well. I highly recommend Ingrained to anyone looking for wholesome, flavorful snacks that not only taste great but also support a meaningful cause. Kudos to Ingrained for setting a new standard in the snack industry, and I'll definitely be a returning customer!
- Sal MarquezIngrained has been a welcomed surprise this last year - after switching to very allergen-specific preferences it was difficult to find treats that satisfied. Luckily, Ingrained is not only made from whole and healing ingredients, every single snack I've tried is unique in flavor and tastes incredible. Besides having several staples, their menu rotates nearly everyday...it's honestly difficult to choose which new flavors to try. One order I can never go without are the chocolate chip cookies. I will put these up against any cookie you can bring to the table - don't forget to add the vanilla swerve icing on top as that puts these treats over the top in the best way. I also had a great experience with ordering a custom cake for my birthday this year. Syd was incredibly receptive to my suggestions and was genuinely excited at the thought of creating something custom just for me. Both she and Andrew are great at what they do and I'm thankful their shop is only a short walk away! (Custom cake pictured below - White Chocolate Raspberry with Oatmeal Cookies throughout)
- Natasha KapadiaThe best place for desserts!! And I love that every item is gluten free, refined sugar free, made with the highest quality ingredients, and I actually don’t feel sick after enjoying an “indulgent” treat. I absolutely love the frozen raw bars. They taste like an ice cream sandwich from your childhood but 1000x better from Syd’s creativity with the flavors. Also don’t skip the savory menu. The made-to-order sour dough bread is SO good. It’s the only bread I buy now. It’s the best gluten free sour dough bread I ever had. The soups are also really hearty and delicious. Honestly you can’t go wrong ordering anything from Ingrained. I’ve never had anything but the best experience. Yes, the price are more expensive than your box of Oreos. That’s because 1, it’s a small local company run by a woman Syd and her husband, not a giant corporation 2. All of their ingredients are ethically sourced, better for your health and longevity ingredients. She may use dates for example to sweeten a dessert instead of refined white sugar so yes that will cost more. 3. She uses superfoods like Maca and Spirulina that are amazing for your health. Yes that will cost more than industrial flours and dyes. The price is an investment to your health and ingrained is absolutely worth it
- Kiara TomirottiIngrained is truly a Chicago gem. Every time we go there it is an amazing experience - the owners are so nice and the quality and care they put into making these insanely delicious treats is unmatched. Never had anything like it! And they continuously come out with new and innovative flavors and products. I could go on... but please trust me when I say Ingrained is a MUST TRY!!
- Lynne CHad to stop in and check out the gluten free desserts. Dessert deprivation is a thing when you are gluten free. Employees were very helpful. Took home 3 servings to try: Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake, PB Cup Sundae, and Cereal Milk. They were all amazing. I think my fave was the PB Cup. But my daughter liked the Cereal Milk and hubs liked the Dairy Queen Cake. These are single serving, frozen treats so you can stock up the freezer and pull out a dessert each day.
