  This a absolutely legendary place. Whenever I’m in Barcelona, I always step in there and recommend it to other people. Not only to the ones that don’t eat diary and gluten - but for everyone! I wish to have a place like this in my hometown. Totally worth visiting.

  Was visiting Barcelona in September this year, and whilst walking in town, I stumbled across Hanai bakery. I was so shocked to see all GF and vegan pastries that I honestly nearly cried. I came back there twice in one day. I wished they were open more so I could get my breakfast there everyday and grab some stuff for travelling back home. Everything I tried there was incredible, especially the ‘chicken’ savoury pastry and the massive donut. I think it was the happiest my partner has ever seen me haha. I still think of this pasteleria, and craving for their perfect pastry daily! I wish all the best to the owners and bakers of this place, world needs more people like you! And the clerk was super lovely too!

  Five stars from me because their hazelnut macarons are so delicious. One of the best macarons I have ever had. The pistachio one was quite salty, not my favourite personally. Best eaten slightly cooled. I tried the first macaron not knowing it was a gluten free vegan patisserie, unfortunately when I wound through the streets of Barcelona for another one the next day, it was closed 😱😱😱 Only open Thurs-Sun!!

  I will never find a more wonderful place in the world. The wizardry that's gone into the pastries and breads here are beyond mortal knowledge. We left speechless... twice... we went back for more the same day. If you're even close to BCN, GO HERE AND BUY EVERYTHING! For those still hesitant, we confirmed that everything sold here is both gluten-free and vegan. It's on the sign... but as someone with multiple food sensitivities, you usually double check. It was so fun getting to pick whatever we wanted :)

  Came back after months since the first trial. I had two savoury snacks and the DONUT!!! What a wonderful treat! Delicious! Donut is fluffy, like a sweet cloud, not oily!
