This place is incredible. We got the catfish plate with cajun mac and slaw plus a small portion of the Infamous Bowl (fried chicken w potatoes, gravy, corn). Everything was excellent. It felt like an indulgent lunch for two people, but I had no regrets! I was so impressed by the flavors and textures, especially of the catfish and chicken. The people working there also seemed really nice. I can't wait to return! They had outdoor tables set away from the street where we sat with our dog.

Phenomenal. I have to say I wasn't sure heading here, this place had been highly recommended to me more than once. Usually that means some kind of let down. Not in this case. This was hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I got the fried chicken plate with sides of corn bread and infamous bowl. The guy working was helpful for me deciding on my sides and sauce. Everything was simply amazing. Absolutely no complaints about any of the food whatsoever. Simply perfect. Not too salty, not too greasy, not overloaded with seasoning I don't like (onions/garlic). Amazing texture. Good portions. Filled me up and I was really hungry when I arrived. The Infamous bowl side especially was amazing. I could easily eat just a big bowl of that. But honestly I hesitate to single it out because I absolutely loved the fried chicken and corn bread as well. They sell local cards/art which was nice to look at. Had to wait a solid 45 minutes for our food but was absolutely worth the wait. It was a little loud inside with limited seating so we moved outside and they kindly brought out a shade cover for our picnic table. This is not health food and isn't cheap (expect to pay $20+ for a meal); I wouldn't go here ever day but for an occasional indulgent splurge of true comfort food (all vegan!) this is now simply my number one top destination I've ever been to. It's that good.

I feel so lucky to live in a city that has incredible vegan options such as this place. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. The food is always outstanding and I love the specials they have, especially the Cajun seafood boil. I never had a seafood boil before and I was blown away. It was addicting. It takes you to flavortown!!! The food is seasoned to perfection. I always leave feeling full and look forward to coming back again soon.

Let me tell you!! If you are ever skeptical about trying vegan food, even southern vegan food, you have never tried Dirty Lettuce. My aunt lives near the area, and when my mother and I arrived in Portland, my aunt said you have to try Dirty Lettuce. My mother and I fell in love! Not just with the food and beverages but also with the southern hospitality of the owners/brothers. It felt like home; there's culture, and they sell products from local companies. I purchased a soap bar once because I have sensitive skin and felt nourished and smoother than a Georgia peach. You wouldn't even know this food was vegan besides the taste of fresh products. I usually order the fried chicken plate and because I like to try multiple sides I order the Southern Style Greens, Cajun Mac and Cheeze and Classic Cornbread. This is my number #1 spot in Portland. Every time I visit, I always visit/eat at Dirty Lettuce.

This may be THE BEST VEGAN FOOD I'VE EVER HAD!!! We had the fried chicken, and catfish plates and couldn't decide which was more delicious. The seasonings in the breading, and on the mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes were top notch! Corn bread, and hush puppies are both great too. But seriously, don't sleep on the fried corn on the cob, because that is revolutionary and changed my life 😆 I only wish Dirty Lettuce were in Kansas City because I'd be their #1 customer.
